Our Mission - Kaleidoscope is a Movement of hope & connection for people living with cancer

Kaleidoscope Center Building Progress

In August of 2005, Kaleidoscope began a building campaign to fund the costs of building a workshop space to hold meetings and create our Bags of Hope. Through generous donations of material, labor, and funds, Kaleidoscope was able to open their doors in late March, 2006. From drywall to landscaping, placing Kaleidoscope into a "bricks and mortar" home established our organization in a way never dreamed of by the founders in 2003.

Soroptomist International Community Partners

Kaleidoscope Founder, Jan Page, has been working with two local chapters of Soroptomist International (Contra Costa County, California).

On June 1, 2006, Kaleidoscope was the recipient organization for funds raised by Soroptomist of the Delta. President Cindy Clanin presented Jan Page with a $3,000 check to continue to provide hope and connection to those living with cancer.

The Soroptomists of Contra Costa County led by President Helen Grimes, have contributed hours of service to Kaleidoscope's mission through sewing items for our Bags of Hope and providing hot, fresh meals for families living with cancer. Jan Page was awarded "Woman of Distinction, 2006" by this chapter.
